# Agent Readiness Translation Ladder

> How the canonical Agent Readiness framework translates down into public language and then into estate expression — three rungs per dimension: canonical dimension → plain-language rendering → page-role expression. Read top-to-bottom as a translation, left-to-right as the four dimensions (Legibility, Discovery, Trust, Callability). Governance renders as the spine over all four, not a fifth sibling.

This is the text version of a visual map from the Verse Map Hub (https://maps.quantumbeard.ai/). The interactive map at https://maps.quantumbeard.ai/ara-translation-ladder is drawn in the browser; this file carries the same content as structured text: every component in its hierarchy, then every directed connection between components.

## Components

- **Agent Readiness — Translation Ladder** — Canonical framework language is not public language and not page language. Each dimension descends a rung at a time: what the Guild calls it → what a reader asks → where on the estate it is answered. Governance does not descend a column; it spans them as the spine.
  - **Governance spine — is human judgment intact?** [spine, canonical] — THE SPINE, not a sibling dimension. Governs all four dimensions (authority edges). Plain-language: 'is the judgment/governance layer intact?' Page-role: the human-judgment layer expressed across every page — the boundedness lines, the 'your own judgment stays sovereign', the 'checkable not asserted' posture. When governance is dropped from a translation, an artifact can look agent-ready while quietly ceasing to be legible or honest.
    - **plain: is the governance layer intact?**
    - **page-role: human-judgment layer across every page**
  - **Legibility (canonical)** [canonical] — Dimension 1. Can the surface be read and understood by an agent reader as well as a human?
  - **Discovery (canonical)** [canonical] — Dimension 2. Can the surface be found by the systems that route agents and readers to it?
  - **Trust (canonical)** [canonical] — Dimension 3. Can the claims be checked against inspectable evidence rather than merely asserted?
  - **Callability (canonical)** [canonical] — Dimension 4. Can the surface actually be used/acted on — a real on-ramp, not a dead end?
  - **“Can it be understood?”** [plain-language] — Plain-language rendering of Legibility.
  - **“Can it be found?”** [plain-language] — Plain-language rendering of Discovery.
  - **“Can it be trusted?”** [plain-language] — Plain-language rendering of Trust.
  - **“Can it be used?”** [plain-language] — Plain-language rendering of Callability.
  - **Framework explainer makes it understandable** [page-role] — Page-role expression of Legibility: /diagnostics/agent-readiness/what-agent-ready-means/ — the explain role (see Estate Role Map).
  - **Discovery surfaces (naming, structure, SEO) make it findable** [page-role] — Page-role expression of Discovery: cross-estate structure + naming; the find role.
  - **Proof page + evidence substrate make it checkable** [page-role] — Page-role expression of Trust: the proof page grounded on the public evidence substrate — the demonstrate + ground roles (see Estate Role Map).
  - **Sales page + assessment on-ramp make it usable** [page-role] — Page-role expression of Callability: /diagnostics/agent-readiness/ → assessment.quantumbeard.ai — the convert role (see Estate Role Map).

## Connections

Each line reads `from → to: label (edge kind)`. A `non equivalence` edge marks two things the map deliberately refuses to merge; every other kind is directed flow.
